The Dragon Watch

Letters from the mountain.

A slow newsletter for readers who like the quiet. Arrives Sunday mornings, mountain time.

What you'll receive

Correspondence, not a newsletter.

Sunday letters

A weekly letter written the old way — observations, small things noticed, the quality of light through the high windows. More like correspondence from someone who means it.

Works in progress

Unguarded dispatches from the middle of a book: what is going well, what has gone sideways, and how the current chapter is holding up. Candid in ways that finished books cannot afford to be.

First look

Subscribers hear about new books, covers, and release dates before anyone else. No embargoes, no PR schedules — just a quiet word in your inbox before the announcement reaches the wider world.

The Dragon Watch

A letter from the mountain, every Sunday.

Quiet observations, small revelations, and the latest on works in progress. No marketing (except for my books). No “tips.” Just the Dragon Watch.

A letter, every Sunday. Unsubscribe whenever.

Questions

The small print.

How often?

Once a week, every Sunday morning. There are occasional exceptions for holidays and the particularly demanding phases of drafting, but Sunday is the rhythm and the mountain keeps it faithfully.

Can I unsubscribe?

Yes, at any time, with one click. There is no guilt, no re-confirmation email, no survey asking why you are leaving. The unsubscribe link is in every letter, clearly marked. Unsubscribing is a normal and dignified thing to do.

Do you share my email?

No. Your address is used only to deliver the letter. It is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. It stays on the mountain.

Why do you ask for my name?

Because a letter should be addressed to someone. Your name is used to greet you in each letter, and for nothing else.
