Seeking Beta Readers

I'm gathering a small circle of beta readers for Dragon Mother. If you've ever finished a book and wished you could tell the author exactly where it found you, this is for you.

There is a moment, late in the life of a manuscript, when I can no longer see it clearly. I know every sentence too well. I know what each scene is meant to do, and so I can no longer tell whether it does.

That is when I need you.

I'm gathering a small circle of beta readers for Dragon Mother, the first book of the Meridian trilogy. Beta readers receive the complete manuscript before the world does, and tell me honestly how it felt to read it: where the pacing carried you, where it dragged, which characters you believed, and which moments landed hard or fell flat.

What the process is

When the manuscript is ready, you'll receive the full text by email, a short feedback form, and a reading window of six to eight weeks. The window is generous on purpose. Real life happens, and I would rather have your thoughtful response than a rushed one.

Who I'm looking for

You don't need to have beta read before. You need to be someone who reads closely, feels things deeply, and is willing to tell me the truth, kindly but plainly. The story is a romantasy adventure: two people, a clutch of dragon eggs, and a love that has to survive whatever hatches. If that sounds like a world you'd walk into, I'd love to have you.

How to join

Add your name to the beta reader pool on the beta readers page (/beta-readers/). I'll write to everyone in the pool eight to ten weeks before the manuscript is ready.

Thank you for reading this far. It means more than you know.
